Holy Moly this sale is SO good this year you guys! If you have shopped it before you know what incredible deals you can find, and if you haven’t I am here to try and help guide you on your way! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a time when BRAND NEW merchandise goes on SALE right as it hits the floor. What does this mean for you?! This is the best time to stock up for fall, basics, classics, items you would not normally splurge on…You name it! It can be a bit overwhelming to navigate so I am here to hopefully point you in the right direction of the best deals and how to get everything your little heart desires.
So here are few important things to know: The sale starts for the public on July 19th and lasts for 2 weeks until August 4th. But EARLY ACCESS starts July 12th at 12:30 PM and is open to Nordstrom credit and debit card holders only. Why is this important? SO many of the really good deals and steals sell out before the sale even goes public so my advice, if you want to get the goods, is get a Nordy’s card (You can apply here) and pay it off as soon as your statement comes. Each year I set my Nordstrom Anniversary sale budget so I know what I can spend on staples, must haves and splurges. If you know going in what your budget is, it is so much easier to pay the card off right when you get the bill in the mail.
One of my all time FAVORITE purchases at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale are these beautiful Stuart Weitzman Over The Knee boots. I bought them a few years ago and while they are an investment, I have literally worn them hundreds of times and they are still in amazing condition. Especially considering all the snow we get here in Chicago. Just to give you an idea, the normal price for these is $695 but you can get them in the anniversary sale for only $399! That in itself makes it worth shopping!
Another great thing to buy during the #nsale is a nice bag that you may not normally splurge on. I have my eye on a few that I normally wouldn’t put the money into so I am trying to decide which to go with. I absolutely love this belt bag by Rebecca Minkoff and I think it is definitely going on the list. It is not something I would usually spend the money on but I need something that is easy to run around with the kids with and still looks stylish. I also have my eye on this adorable backpack by Clare V. It holds a good amount of stuff and I love the silhouette and clean lines. I have several of her bags from other sales and they are so well made and last forever so this is definitely worth the splurge. This darling crossbody, also by Clare V, is going to have to come home with me. The snake print meets gucci stripe feel had me at hello and I can never have too many small easy to wear crossbody bags.
And of course what Nordstrom is known for….SHOES! There are SO many great shoe deals especially things that will take you right into fall and through winter. I know I know…we have been waiting for summer to get here and now we are planning for fall?? Well yes…if you can find something that you will use for fall and winter and it is a great price, I say do it! Some of the shoes I have on my list are these Steve Madden booties that are genuine calf hair and HELLO they are leopard! Right up my alley and at only $86 they are such a great price for Steve Madden! I am also a sucker for peep toe booties for late summer and fall and this Vince Camuto pair is definitely going on the list. I am also eyeing these adorable Madewell slides because they will be perfect with any outfit as a pop of print and will be great all year long!
Another must have item from the #nsale is most definitely denim. When I saw the list of what would be included in this year’s sale, that is definitely what I searched out first. While there are many great options that will be on sale, I narrowed down some of my top favorites for you that will likely be going in my cart. One of my favorites is this pair from MOTHER. I absolutely love the fit of their denim and with a normally high price tag, I really like to purchase their denim when it is on sale. I love the slim fit of these and the uneven raw edge at the bottom. Plus… the wash is my favorite. Another pair I have my eye on are these killer busted knee jeans by Free People. I have these in an olive color and absolutely love them so I can’t wait to snag them in black too. Another great pair with a little something different are these skinny jeans by MOTHER. I love the little detail down the sides to add a little something different. The price tag on these is also not bad at all considering the brand!
I almost always purchase some type of jacket or coat at the Anniversary sale. Why? Well they have lots of great NEW fall options on sale and I hate spending money on coats (true fact). But I purchased my all time favorite Blank NYC suede jacket at this sale just a few years ago and it is going to be available again in a grey and nude color! That means I will definitely have to go back for another one. I typically size up in jackets and coats so I can layer so I always do a medium in my Blank NYC jackets and love the fit. Next up are the amazing sunglasses available with this sale. I for one can never have too many pairs of glasses and there are so many great options in all price ranges to choose from. From these BP branded aviators on sale to high end brands such as Fendi and Tory Burch, you can find plenty of options all at much better prices than you are used to. This pair from Tory Burch is on my list because I would not normally spend full price but at this discount I can swing it and feel good about buying a good quality high end pair of glasses!
There is also an amazing assortment of home items that you will want to snag during the #nsale. My absolute favorite and must have item is this candle from Anthropologie! It is my most favorite candle of all time and smells heavenly…plus it last forever and is almost $15 less during the sale. And you will definitely want to grab one of these blankets. They are SO cozy and will absolutely go quick so act fast! There are tons of other Anthro home items for sale which is my favorite place for unique eclectic pieces so I will be linking more as I find them:)
You are also going to find a TON of skin products and makeup available in the sale and I am here to tell you there are SO many awesome things! I am going to keep adding to my list here because there are just too many to grab right now but here are some of my must haves. This is my all time favorite brand of lip pencil and I am in love with the shades in this set. They would normally be $108 but in the #nsale are only $39! And this is my go to self tanner to use at home. There are a bunch of St. Tropez products available in the sale but I linked the ones I always use here and here. Lastly these Beauty Blenders are life and I honestly don’t even know how I put makeup on before they existed (Actually I do and it looked awful).
Let’s not forget the jewelry shall we! There are tons of incredible items on sale from Bauble Bar to Tory Burch to Kendra Scott and many more! Those just happen to be MY faves so those are the ones I am going to share with you. I am loving ear climbers lately so these are definitely going my cart as well as these. And I’m loving all the statement pieces by Tory Burch such this bracelet and these earrings. This colorful ear cuff set is also going un my cart because I just love all the bright tones and I just may have to add the matching ring as well:) No matter what the occasion I can guarantee you will find some great pieces of jewelry to add to your collection at the Anniversary Sale!
Last and definitely not least are some incredible clothing finds out there! I have so many so I am going to try and keep it short and sweet with my must haves. Number one on my list will be these joggers and this comfy sweatshirt from Topshop. How adorable is this print? I have another pair of these and they are SO soft and cozy! I will be buying at least 4 colors of all time favorite undies by Hanky Panky….they are so comfortable and cute and you can find them here. My favorite brand of button ups is Rails and you will find many of their adorable tops in the sale. You can find my two faves here and here. I am also dying over this leopard print dress as well as the matching tank and not sure which one I am going to go with yet…maybe both?? And of course I need a little Free People and have been eying this thermal for a while so the only question is which color will I get?
All in all this sale looks like it is going to be pretty epic and I can’t wait to shop it!
