This time of year can be tricky when it comes to what shoes are best for the season. It is still winter but after the holidays, most of us start looking forward to spring. I wanted to share my favorite pairs of shoes to wear as we are transitioning into spring, and what better place to shop for shoes than Nordstrom! After many years of being a loyal Nordstrom shopper, I can tell you that one of the things that always drives me to their store is the huge array of shoes they have to offer. Not only do they carry all of my favorite brands, but they often have exclusives that you can’t find anywhere else and their pricing is always competitive. And, if you haven’t yet jumped on the Nordstrom bandwagon yet, let me just tell you that they have incredible customer service backed by the best return policy around. Now on to what you are really here for…the shoes.

First up is in my opinion the holy grail of sneakers. Golden Goose Deluxe Brand has the most unique sneakers you will find anywhere. Not only are they unique but the craftsmanship is unmatched and they are extremely comfortable. Lucky for me, Nordstrom happens to carry a beautifully curated collection of Golden Goose sneakers, many of which are exclusive to them. That means if you want to have something that is more rare, chances are you will find it within the collection at Nordstrom. I typically purchase all of my Golden Goose sneakers at Nordstrom because of this coupled with the fact that the return policy is incredible.

This particular pair went a bit out of my “safe zone” of neutrals, but when I saw them I had to have them. They are incredibly unique and I love the fun pop of bright pink with a touch of leopard and yellow for spring. You will see that I love mixing bright colors at this time of year to cheer up the mood of my look while still dressing appropriately for the weather. Typically I’d say Golden Goose Sneakers run true to size so order accordingly. For reference, I am a solid 8.5-9 and wear a 39 in the Suparstars and Slides (which is the style of this pink pair) and I wear a 38 in the Mid Star (odd I know but just how I feel they fit me best). The thing I love most about these sneakers is that they can be dressed up or down and they bring an edge and fun vibe to any look. I wear mine with denim, leggings, dresses, skirts and shorts…you name it!

For this particular look I paired them with a super soft pullover by Chaser (also from Nordstrom) and one of my favorite pairs of denim which also happen to be on sale. I suggest sizing down in the denim. I am typically a 27 and wear a 26 in these. All in all, you cant go wrong with a pair of Golden Goose sneakers for any time of the year. I have linked some of my favorites and some on my personal wish list for you here:

Next up, and another favorite of mine, is this pair of Vans sneakers. I truly believe this pair belongs in every woman’s closet because they are so versatile and incredibly comfortable. They allow you to have a shoe that you can slip on and go while still looking stylish and put together. My personal favorite is this black and white checkered pair because I feel they go with pretty much everything. Coming in at under $50, they are also super affordable and great quality. I suggest sizing down a half to full size in these. As I stated above, I am normally an 8.5-9 and I actually wear an 8 in these. They will also stretch a bit as you wear them so keep that in mind.

Here I have them paired with this beautiful top by Free People and the same jeans I shared above because…they are my favorite! This top caught my eye because again I’m loving bright colors right now as we edge towards spring. And the added bonus is this top can be worn more as a jacket as I have it shown here, or tucked in as a button down as I will show later. Either way, these sneakers are a must for this time of year and are really perfect all year round.

Next up is a pair of booties that will stand the test of time! These beautiful Marc Fisher Booties come in several colors and are absolutely stunning in person. They are hands down one of my most worn pairs of shoes because they go with virtually everything. They also happen to be very comfortable because the heal is just the perfect height to lengthen those legs, but not too high to be uncomfortable. Marc Fisher is one of my favorite shoe brands and lucky for me, Nordstrom carries a wonderful selection of Marc Fisher shoes. Oh and did I mention they were on MAJOR sale?!

For this look I paired my booties with this adorable acid washed ruffle top by Free People which is quickly becoming a favorite in my closet. It is also super versatile and could easily be worn layered as well. I’d say it runs true to size and I am in a small for reference. Once again, I’m in that same pair of jeans as shown above (I told you I love them) And a cute little fedora to complete the look.

Last but not least is another pair of booties I think every woman needs in her closet! I fell in love with these at last year’s Nordstrom sale and my love is still going strong. The height on these is a bit shorter hitting right at the ankle and making them perfect for rolled hem or ankle length denim. Again I chose a neutral color but these are available in several colors and are also on sale! I got my true to size 9 and they fit perfectly. They are easy to get on and off with the handy zipper in the back and are just a comfortable as can be. I may have to grab them in the black too because they are that good!

As I mentioned above, I wanted to style the plaid Free People top buttoned up and tucked in with booties for a more dressed up look and that is what I have done here. It goes to show how versatile these booties are because you can pair them with a very neutral look, or with bright colors and they still work!

I hope this has helped inspire ideas for how to style some of my most loved shoes from Nordstrom for this time of year! Check back for more of my favorite Nordstrom items coming soon!
XOXO,
Shannon
